Yesterday VOICE was created by it's founders to serve a unique niche in the world
for those users who for whatever reason had no channel for support and information,
or simply wanted more or a different channel than the great groups like POSSI and
SCOUG and IBM. The current members of VOICE are in debt to the founders of VOICE
for their vision and desire to advance OS/2 and the efforts they made in doing so.

Today VOICE can be found in newsgroups.<usenet> . VOICE can most always
be found on the webbnet irc network. Regular messages and announcements hit sites
all over the world via WarpCast. E-mail messages from mailing -list at VOICE shuttle
across the net almost continuously. Tonight VOICE can be found sponsoring along
with Mensys, a social Event here at Warpstock. VOICE is alive and working to provide
education almost continuously for OS/2 users. Our Speakups on the webbnet provide
invaluable insight and education for users, vendors, and programmers on a regular
basis. Today VOICE can found in the exhibit hall just around the corner from here
yet again serving the community through education at Warpstock.
Where will VOICE be in the future? That's hard to define. VOICE has a direction
and that is forward. As rapidly as the world is growing and changing and since Al
Gore invented the internet............ We are poised on the virge of an evolution
in the way individuals can access and participate in a real-time community regardless
of location. Access to information, quality information in a realtime environment
now affords all of us the ability to make up our own minds about issues that effect
us.
Now..Why can't I find that site that has all those really cool os/2 backgrounds?
Where is that scsi driver for that adaptec card? Was that at the SuperSite? , or
OS2.org or LEO or ddpak online... Geesh I wish there was one place that had it all....
maybe even a couple mirrors of one place that had it all The opportunity we have
today is absolutely fantastic. A united community, United by Purpose to advance
OS/2 United for POWER. In diversity there is strength. En masse and focused we have
as ONE VOICE an opportunity to take control of the future. Embrace that future and
thrive, not merely exist.
