Addendum

In answer to Christian Hennecke's article Writing articles with NVU, Peter Weilbacher, porter of NVU, wrote:

Regarding the NVU article: Extensions and themes are best installed via drag & drop to the dialog of the extension/theme manager. That way, adjusting *.xpi to * or *xpi is not required.

Depending on when you downloaded the issue or accessed the article, the article may already have been updated with this information.

In comp.os.os2.misc, Dushan Mitrovich replied to our announcement:

Yay, I've missed it. Glad to have it back.

Now that was a quick reply!

And Matt Walsh added:

And it's a great issue. I loved it. Thanks a lot for all the hard work.

Not only had Peter Weilbacher something to add to the NVU article, he also found a bug in our build script and commented on the new design:

Wow, looks really spiffy and modern. Thank you very much for your work. Alas, I just don't have the time to read it all.

Two notes:

  • Generally: Not that I would want to start using it, but the e-mail links at the bottom of the articles always contain "mailto: &" instead of the correct address in the INF version.

In response to our announcement at commTalk.de, Frank Wochatz said:

Congratulations, this looks really good (also functionality-wise)!

And Chris Hellwig chimed in:

...and the new design works quite acceptable in Plucker [a small browser without CSS capabilities] on a Palm.

Also in comp.os.os2.misc, Menno had to say:

Nice! The article on WarpStock Europe was good to read. Unfortunately, too much is going on at the moment for me to be doing much actual OS/2 stuff, but I shall see to it that this changes.
